Who this is for:

You should be working in housing or a housing‑related role or have an interest in starting a career within the sector. The Level 2 course will equip you with the core knowledge and skills needed to understand how housing services operate and how your role contributes to supporting tenants and communities.

As with all of our programmes, the Level 2 Certificate in Housing connects foundational learning with real housing practice, delivered by industry experts who understand the realities of day‑to‑day work in the sector.

Modules of Learning

The CIH Level 2 Certificate is made up of 4 modules of learning:

Professional Practice skills for Housing

The unit aims to provide an understanding of different roles within a housing context and the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to fulfil them. The learner will also explore their personal and professional development.


Customer Service in Housing

The unit aims to provide an understanding of customer service including equality and diversity and an awareness of the needs of different customers within the housing context.


Housing provision and Housing organisations

The unit aims to provide an understanding of how housing is provided. Learners will consider different types of landlords, the range of services they offer, how they finance housing and the relationship between landlord and tenant.

Assets, repairs and maintenance

The unit aims to provide an understanding of main types of dwellings and how they are maintained and repaired.

Enrolment Process

Onboarding 

One of our Business Development operatives will make contact with you to discuss your needs and what next steps are required to set you up on your programme of learning. 

Your learning schedule

You will be allocated a designated Development Coach who will teach your sessions and support you throughout your learning with the TLF.

Your schedule will include your planned tutorial sessions, submission deadlines for your coursework and your anticipated end date. You will also be able to contact your DC throughout your time on programme for any other questions you have.

Completion

When you have submitted all of your coursework assignments they will be moderated and sent to CIH for Certification. You will then receive your certificates.
